La Paz - where all that glitters isn't gold.

This is Max, from Melbourne. I met him in Buenos Aires, a bunch of us travelled to Iguazu Falls together and then we met up again for a couple of days in La Paz. We got fresh juice from the markets, 1 litre for $1

This is Moana... my Swiss friend that I've been travelling with for 2 months now. I met her in Buenos Aires also, we were staying in the same hostel room.

Moana bought us tickets to what she understood, in her slightly limited English was a traditional Bolivian dance... turned out to be FEMALE WRESTLING! Haha. 

We saw some traditional Bolivian ladies before we went in to the wrestling... there was live music and dancing and lots of people watching, good atmosphere.

Then we went and watched the wrestling...

We saw miners protesting in the street one day...

This one is also from my birthday night with my English friend Lucy... the bar staff made me get up on the bar and the whole bar sang me Happy Birthday which was nice! 

These are some of the English boys we made friends with Buenos Aires ... and then met up again with in La Paz. It was one of the boys birthdays two days before mine so we celebrated both while we were there.
